Who is Sheldon Gay?
Sheldon Gay is a serial entrepreneur who holds an engineering degree, a tech-focused MBA and has been a board-member and leader for several organizations. His wide-ranging curiosity for the world has allowed him to work in multiple industries such as healthcare and education-technology. As a late-identified neurodivergent Black man, his mind gives him access to insights and perspectives that can be very different from what society has told us is “normal”. He’s particularly familiar with feeling misunderstood and isolated.
Through purposeful self-discovery, furthered by pivotal life events in his early 40’s, he finally understood why and how he was unconventionally showing up in the world. As a result, he became deeply aware that others are also struggling to understand and love all of themselves as well as find places where they feel accepted, not just tolerated. His life-long commitment to helping others compelled him to share his voice and eventually take to the stage with the goal of helping as many unconventional minds find community by learning how to live authentically.
Today, his talks help people let go of shame, receive respect and trust through accountability and find freedom and prosperity by unapologetically being themselves. Sheldon Gay is a highly sought after speaker, podcast guest, and advisor. His podcast has quickly become a favorite within the neurodivergent community and his work has afforded him the opportunity to take on leadership roles, including becoming Natioinal Vice-Chair of UmbrellaUS, a community-focused and neurodivergent affirming and supporting non-profit. Sheldon Gay continues to help numerous people become curious about their minds, combat loneliness through community and experience peace and joy through authenticity. He is particularly passionate about speaking to the specific ways these things impact melanated and marginalized people.
